On December 26, 2019, as a member of Suqian Company, I’m honored to be in Bangladesh with the overseas project team of the group company. The visit was the symbol of the site work of PPP project for the development of water supply and distribution facilities in Purbachal New Town, Dhaka, Bangladesh officially started.
I was shocked by what I saw when I first arrived in the capital of Bangladeshi. In the early morning, outside Dhaka’s Ajalal Shajarat International Airport it was crowded. How busy Dhaka is this, on my way back to the hotel, congested road, all eyes of the driver, car distance control is calculated in decimeter, in my surprise, the driver has arrived at the hotel safely. There are too many respectable people and things in this land
In the next three months ‘work, the selection, confirmation of the contractors and project implementation on topographic survey and geotechnical investigation have been carried out by the project team. Progress control and quality control in project implementation were the daily focus of the project team. Compared with which in China, technical communication was particularly important, and repeated clarification of technical requirements and correction of on-site problems also clear and definite the project standards. The project results have also reached the height which the design requires.
In my spare time, I was deeply impressed by this friendly Muslim country: there are institutional differences in this world, but friendly communication, peaceful coexistence among ethnic groups are always a common topic. Too many people inadvertently mentioned “China” in the conversation, here “China” is a representative of friendship, mutual assistance, progress and power. When Mr. Rimon, our survey project manager, looked relaxed when the epidemic hits, I was puzzled, he told me firmly: “We are strong, and China will support us.” Yes, we have witnessed each other’s full support in the difficult times before and after the epidemic… This is not only an unforgettable work experience, but also a valuable wealth in my life. It also makes me deeply understand the relationship and significance between countries, nations, groups and individuals. I am grateful for this trip.
